Falafel is now one of the most popular street foods in the world, and can be found almost everywhere. But the phenomenon was said to be born in Tel Aviv, the coastal town of Israel. The classic Israeli falafel is a fritter of ground chickpea spiced with cumin, coriander, paprika, raw garlic, onion, and lots of fresh parsley. So it’s essentially a health food, right?!
